「遺願」一詞，就像寫在遺書上的東西一樣，是人活著的時候無法達成的願望

所以，為什麼要讓心願變成遺願？為何要讓摯愛的人留下遺恨？

電影中兩位主角坐在金字塔頂端看著落日的那幕，說了一段令人印象深刻的對話：「古埃及的人們相信，人死後的靈魂來到天堂的入口，門口的守衛會問兩個問題… 你的生命中有喜樂(joy)嗎？你有帶給他人喜樂嗎？… 若是兩個問題的答案都是“是的”，才有進入天堂的資格… 」

人生如白駒過隙，也充滿了無法逆料的意外，時時將這兩個問題銘記在心，和自己的信仰禱告，不只是為了不留遺憾，也是為了和死後的世界有個安詳平和的對晤

也許在佛教相信的前世來生，我們修習的因緣仍在輪迴，又或許在後人的記憶之中漸漸淡忘，徒留墓碑上歲月磨蝕的字跡…

「人們的生命是無數條涓涓細流，最終匯流成一條長河… 穿過重重迷霧，來到墜落的瀑布之下… 那就是天堂之所在… 」基督教的牧師如是說著

乘著滿載智慧的經文，不論是哪個宗教，我們都因而有了一雙翅膀，飛越層層雲霄，逐漸卸除對未知的迷惘不安，在至高尊貴的生死面前，所有愚昧的執著都將微不足道...

The Bucket List--- A list worth to live with before one’s death

What’s your imagination of the life after death? Will the guard accept you at the entrance of the God’s garden? There are two questions you should answer there: Have you found joy in your life? Has your life brought joy to others? If the answers are both “yes”… Congratulations! You WIN the ticket to heaven!

I cannot help but wondering the famous questions from ancient Egyptians’ belief. When the time has ever to come, am I ready to say: “yes” loudly? So as watching the movie, the two old men’s journey in the world to fulfill the things they had desired to conquer, feeling excited about the amazing trip but also moved by the brave death march.

As a doctor, I ran into several situations when there’s no cure for a patient’s disease. Waiting for the reaper’s arrival is hopeless and is meanwhile painful for the souls of the loving ones. However, we could still do something to make up for the regretful thoughts. To bring joy in each other’s memory when the beloved one is still alive! And that’s the action of the core concept of hospice care.

To cease the precious time when we are healthy and strong, make the best use of it. To be contented with life, leave no regret to mourn. Finally, we lead peace in the after-lives.

As the pastor said, “Our lives are streams …… flowing into the same river …… towards whatever heaven lies in the mist beyond the falls.” The fading of once shining star is inevitable, but grabbing onto every single moment and praying for smoothing the pain of the soul until the day …… to come.
